Mr. Daniel Garrie is a Managing Director at EMI Capital. Prior to joining EMI Daniel was a Principal at CRAI (NASDAQ:CRAI) where he lead the Legal-Business Information Management (LBIM) Group. Daniel while at CRA International invested a portion of his time working with the Intellectual Property Group developing and focusing on high growth ventures in segments such internet social networking, internet advertising, security technology; working to fundraise from institutional capital sources, strategic corporate partners, and high net worth individuals.

Before joining CRAI Daniel co-founded and sold LegalTech Group LLC, a privately held Legal Business strategy consulting company. At LegalTech Group Daniel was responsible for the consulting services practice that worked with senior legal, business, and technology stakeholders from fortune 500 companies to address complex legal business information management issues. Daniel before founding LegalTech Group worked as a senior consultant for the Department of Justice where he was responsible for managing and directing essential parts of the e-Government program at the Department of Justice.

Prior to working for the Department of Justice, Daniel worked for Westpac Trust Bank in New Zealand where he was responsible for several successful top-level Internet projects. Before Westpac Trust Bank Daniel co-founded and sold Searchapp.com. While at Searchapp.com Daniel served as the Director of Engineering where he led the engineering effort in developing the search engine technology and creating scalable Internet applications.
